HGV Mechanic

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Mechanical Technician to support our busy fleet operations. If you have a strong background in LGV, truck, and trailer maintenance and enjoy a hands-on role with technical variety—this is the opportunity for you.

🔧 What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair faults on LGVs, trucks, and trailers
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Conduct MOT-standard inspections and complete service records
  • Work with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools
  • Use fleet maintenance software to log work and inspections
  • Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure timely, quality repairs

✅ What You Bring

  • Strong knowledge of LGV/truck/trailer technology
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, electrics, diagnostics, and trailers
  • Flexibility to manage a varied workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and customer communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet maintenance systems
  • Full UK LGV driving licence and access to own transport
